Breakfast and Backpacks 2026

Join The Deborah Whitfield Memorial Foundation for Breakfast & Backpacks, a free community event dedicated to helping local children start the school year prepared and confident.

Families will enjoy a complimentary prepackaged breakfast, children’s activities, community resource booths, and registered children will receive a new backpack filled with school supplies while supplies last.

The event will take place on Saturday, August 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Grant Park in Mission Valley. Admission is free, but advance registration is required to help us prepare enough backpacks and breakfast for every child.
